Yankees Pregame: Aaron Judge (RIB/SHOULDER) remains out of the lineup
LHP Carlos Rodón will start today against RHP Slade Cecconi
NEW YORK—Aaron Judge remains out of the Yankees lineup ahead of the series finale against the Cleveland Guardians at Yankee Stadium.
First pitch Wednesday will be at 1:35pm on YES Network and the Gotham Sports App.
Here is how the Yankees will line up today:
Austin Wells is out of the lineup in a day game after a night game. Anthony Volpe is also getting a day off after back-to-back not great offensive performances. Max Schuemann will be in right field tonight with Jose Caballero at shortstop.

Wednesday’s Pitching Matchup
Yankees LHP Carlos Rodón (1-2, 3.32)
Since returning from loose bodies in his elbow, Rodón struggled in his first two outings of 2026, but his last two outings have been much better, including six innings of one-run ball against the Athletics in Sacramento last Friday to earn his first win of 2026.
Here is how Rodón has fared against the Guardians in his career:
Guardians RHP Slade Cecconi (3-5, 5.25)
Cecconi has not had a great start to 2026, posting a 4.62 ERA over his past 37.0 innings. This is a starter the Yankees should be able to handle today, even without Judge in the lineup.
Here is how Cecconi has fared against the Yankees in his career (two starts):
